AkariPraise is Fliss and Fawn, both students in Melbourne. Fawn is the manga artist and Fliss is the animator.

Okay, so me and Fawn have been friends for about two years, I guess. We met in our Japanese class in university, and bonded through a mutual love of anime XD. We also discovered that we both liked to draw manga....Fawn noticeably better than me
(I just don't have the patience for learning how to draw consistently! I can't sit down and draw characters over and over and OVER again O_O;;...). But I have always been interested in computer graphics...I've always liked creating things on screen, and how if something looks different than the last time you did it, that's a GOOD thing! And then I got Photoshop. Oh, my beloved Photoshop, how you frustrate me sometimes, yet bring about a wonderous joy...*ahem*...sorry, moving on...
We came about creating the idea of AkariPraise in our Japanese class one Wednesday when Fawn showed me (Fliss) a drawing she had drawn for her friend. And it was like WHOA - like most of her stuff. And her friend was going to be PAYING for it...that was definately a new concept for me. Then Fawn asked if I could learn how to colour in stuff if she scanned it on her computer. And I said of course! There was MONEY involved $_$...but the more we talked about it and the idea of a partnership...the more I thought "this could be something really big...this could really work!". We were going to create a huge online anime art selling empire!! We were going to be asked to do huge anime and computer game art deals! We were going to be RICH!! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!....*ahem*...as I was saying...
And the name "AkariPraise" itself came about after, like, 3 hours of talking on MSN going "gensou....gensou...what..." We didn't end up using gensou XD.
That was after deciding on the "pencil" names (aka pseudonyms) of Fliss and Fawn.
And yeah...that's about it. We'll try to put stuff up as soon as possible. Keep in mind that we are major beginners. Well, at least I am a beginner at anime art on computer...in fact, I have yet to even try
...but I am sure I can do it! Gambatte~!!
Fawn:
Hi, this is Fawn, and uh...*waves*. Basically, Fliss has mentioned how all this started and such, and just to let you all know: this is not a person with multiple-personality disorder. We really are two different girls, aspiring to work together to create beautiful art with each of our specialities. Technically I am the one more at home with what I am assigned to do in this partnership. I've been interested in drawing since I became a Sailor Moon fan when I was 11. And Fliss has the rawer deal in this partnership, as she's fairly new in the field of digital animation. But Fliss is immensely interested and is willing to try her hardest and I am sure she will excel in this!
We have just started working on a few pieces, our official AkariPraise avatar included. ^^
We're really looking forward to our life in Deviant. And hopefully we will get good support and encouragement from fellow Deviants =3.
